Chancellor Lee D. Lambert

Lee LambertWelcome to Pima Community College.

This institution has a long and proud history of serving southern Arizona. From its humble beginnings more than 50 years ago, Pima has grown to be one of the largest multi-campus community colleges in the nation. Today we have five campuses, a dedicated online campus, learning centers and educational opportunities unthinkable a generation ago.

Yet despite the amazing transformation that has taken place, the reason Pima exists has not changed: Our students.

Whether you come to Pima with the intention of transferring to a four-year institution, getting workforce training or simply brushing up on your computer skills, it makes no difference. We’re here for you. Wherever you are on life’s road, we will take you further. We will do everything possible to supply the programs and courses that meet your needs to pursue your goals and dreams.

As Chancellor, I will always put our students first. This is why I am determined to make sure that Pima moves quickly and thoughtfully to address the challenges that lie ahead. Improving educational achievement, partnering with business and industry, and leveraging technology aren’t options in our competitive 21st century economy. They are imperatives.

Students and non-students alike should know that Pima is committed to openness, transparency, accountability and the responsible stewardship of public resources. These principles are non-negotiable. I firmly believe that the “community” in our name comes with certain obligations. Under my watch, we will never forget that public trust and confidence must be earned.

Philosopher Eric Hoffer has said that in times of change, learners will inherit the earth. Wise words. I hope that you will make PCC the first choice as you seek a better life through the power of learning.
